Dome Top 'Camelback' Trunk
Incredible Alligator embossed metal pattern Very Rare!

Here is a beautiful camel back trunk that is one of a kind in Alligator pattern metal. This is an outstanding trunk and we say it is one of a kind because the pattern of this tin is original to itself. Yes, there are other alligator tin trunks but you will not find one with this same exact pattern. This trunk has its original tin, that is in wonderful shape and the rich warm yellow and brown color of the alligator pattern is just beautiful. We have added gold accents to the hardware to really make this trunk one of the most stunning trunks we have refinished, and look at the corner hardware with the tridents on the ends, as well as the end caps of the handles in a fish scale pattern. The hardwood slats (probably hickory or maple) have beautiful golden color and have a rich patina that only comes with age. The metal is all in great shape with no rust or missing pieces. The leather handles have been replaced and the metal bottom is very clean and has the original wood slats and metal rollers. The interior is clean with no odors and can be used to store many items, sit at the end of a bed, or the trunk is great for display in a foyer under a piece of your art. This is really a beautiful trunk! The trunk was probably made in the late 1880's to 1890's and it would like to continue its Legacy in your home. Dimensions 32"L X 17"W X 23"H
(The height measurement is at the crest of the dome)
